Wolf Priest Ulrik

From : Warhammer 40,000
Armies : Space Wolves
Unit type :  HQ
Scale : 28mm metal figure
Manufacturer : Game Workshop

For the second figure, I tried Non-Metallic Metal (NNM) painting technique on all gold parts with yellow and brown-toned colors (the color of steel is achieved by gray and white-toned colors). The colors were painted in a technique aimed to produce effect of light in metallic reflection such as brass, copper, iron and aluminum, without using actually metallic colors (gold, silver and etc.).
This figure is painted according to the Game Workshop's model with patterns and cracks added to the armor.

Imperial Guard Storm Troopers with Grenade Launcher

From : Warhammer 40,00
Armies : Imperial Guard
Unit type :  Elites
Scale : 28mm metal figure
Manufacturer : Game Workshop

My very first miniature wargames figure that I finished. I used Vallejo paint which is quite different from solvent-based lacquer colors that I usually use. Since Vallejo acrylic is water-based, it cannot be thinned once dried. Thus blending must be done while the paint is still fresh or wet with water. The paints would be blended from dark to light colors; a job that I still require more skill and practice.
I painted this figure without using any color or pattern reference from Game Workshop and I also tested NMM techniques on the pistol and bullets.

Miniature Wargames.

This is my first time making a Miniature Wargames figures. All of these four figures are from Warhammer 40,000 (40K) produced by Game Workshop. They are made from metal and plastic. They are also quite detailed but a bit too expensive given their small sizes.

The four bases are expanded from their original sizes (Round black plastic bases) with DAS modelling clay and decorated with crushed plaster plate for dramatic effects. The raised bases only make the small figures more stand out.

Comparison between 30 mm. Warhammer figure and 1/35 military figure, approximately 52 mm.

This is also my first time working with Vallejo Acrylic paint for painting a figures. (Before this, I used it only for weathering an AFV) I'm not sure how they will turn out. I guess we will see soon :)

Hetzer 1/48 (Finished)

The camouflage pattern is painted by GSI Mr. Color mixed to the Federal Standard (FS) color chart. The Hard-Edge camouflage pattern is done by painting over lined Uhu-Tac.

The weathering effects are achieved through Oil paints, Vallejo and MIG products including filters, wash and pigments in the very same way that I did M14/41 for rusty and dusty look.

Hetzer 1/48

Tamiya : Hetzer 1/48 scale
Eduard : Photo etched set for Hetzer 1/48

This Hetzer is the second of the 1/48 (quarter scale) tank models that I have completed. Since I want it to be apart of a diorama in the future, it is made as a destructed vehicle. All of the hatches are opened to clearly show the interior, which are made from scratch with plastic sheet copper wire and lead plate. It is also detailed after a real thing and conversion photos in 1/35 scale. The scale is eyeballed and may not be accurate. Some actual details were also left out from the model.
The exterior are improvement all of the details for more accuracy by using a PE set from Eduard, copper wire and thin plastic sheet.
