As I mentioned in the first part, I started this project a few years ago and it was left on the shelf after I primed the whole base with Black from GSI color and sprayed on the building wall with Light Orange. When I brought this project back to finish, I had to sand the Light Orange area with 400-600 grit sandpaper first. Because the surface of GSI color quite a bit semi-gloss, water-based paints like Vallejo will not hold very well on this surface. I also decided to start over with the painting because it was quite difficult to mix a match color for that old Light Orange, also the blending will be easier on the same type of color.
I used Vallejo 70981 Orange Brown mixed with White for the building wall. The bricks were painted with various shades of Orange and Brown, mixed from Panzer Aces 301 Light Rust, Panzer Aces 302 Dark Rust, 70981 Orange Brown, 70982 Cavalry Brown, 70984 Flat Brown. The stone details on the building and pavement were painted with the colors mixed from 70995 German Grey, Black and White. You can see all of the colors quite a bit bright at the moment but it will be toned down after weathering.
อย่างที่เคยเอ่ยถึงในโพสก่อนหน้านี้ ว่างานชิ้นนี้ผมเริ่มทำเอาไว้หลายปีแล้ว ตอนนั้นผมทำในส่วนของฐานเสร็จก็พ่นสีรองพื้นสีดำเอาไว้ทั้งหมด และพ่นสีพื้นส่วนของกำแพงอาคารด้วยสีโทนส้มอ่อนทิ้งไว้ จากนั้นก็ทิ้งเอาไว้ในตู้ไม่ได้นำมาทำอะไรเพิ่มครับ จนตอนนี้อยากที่จะนำงานชิ้นนี้มาทำต่อให้เสร็จ แต่สีที่เคยทำเอาไว้นั้นเป็นสีกันเซ่สูตรแลคเกอร์ ซึ่งจะมีพื้นผิวของสีที่ค่อนข้างมัน หากนำมาทาทับด้วยสีสูตรน้ำอย่างวัลเลโฮ (Vallejo) จะยึดเกาะบนพื้นผิวของสีกันเซ่ได้ไม่ดีนัก ดังนั้นผมจึงต้องใช้กระดาษทรายเบอร์ 400-600 มาขัดที่ผิวของพื้นสีส้มก่อน เพื่อที่สีสูตรน้ำจะได้ยึดเกาะได้ง่ายขึ้นครับ ในตอนแรกผมอยากที่จะเก็บสีส้มอ่อนเดิมที่ทำเอาไว้ แล้วค่อยมาทำสีไล่แสงเงาเพิ่มด้วยสีวัลเลโฮ แต่สุดท้ายตัดสินใจทาทับสีส้มอ่อนเดิมทั้งหมด เนื่องจากมันค่อนข้างจะลำบากที่จะผสมสีใหม่ให้ได้ใกล้เคียงกับสีเดิม รวมถึงการทาเกลี่ยสีไล่แสงเงาจะทำได้ง่ายกว่าบนพื้นผิวของสีประเภทเดียวกันครับ
สำหรับสีที่ใช้ทาจะเป็นสีของวัลเลโฮทั้งหมด ผมลงชื่อสีเอาไว้ให้ดูเป็นแนวทางครับ จริงๆจะใช้สีเบอร์อะไรก็ได้ในการเพนท์ฉากอาคารต่าง เพราะมันไม่ได้มีสีที่กำหนดตายตัว ขอแค่ให้ดูเหมาะสมกับยุคสมัยและอยู่ในโทนสีแบบที่เราต้องการก็พอครับ
สีส้มอ่อนผสมจาก 70981 Orange Brown กับขาว ส่วนสีของอิฐผสมจากหลายๆสีเพื่อให้ได้สีอิฐที่แตกต่างกันหลายๆเฉด Panzer Aces 301 Light Rust, Panzer Aces 302 Dark Rust, 70981 Orange Brown, 70982 Cavalry Brown, 70984 Flat Brown สุดท้ายเป็นสีส่วนของหินบนตัวอาคารและพื้นถนน ผสมจาก 70995 German Grey กับสีดำและสีขาวครับ
หลังจากเพนท์สีทั้งหมดเสร็จแล้ว จะเห็นว่าสีทั้งฉากโดยรวมจะดูค่อนข้างสว่างและสด ซึ่งเราจะทำให้มันดูเก่าอีกทีในขั้นตอนการเวทเธอริ่งครับ
